Aachen waP1090192s a very enjoyable town to visit. There is a variety of attractions to see and it was a very English friendly place. Its proximity to Belgium and The Netherlands is an added bonus.

Walking tours: A self-guided walking tour is available from the TI. It can also be downloaded from the TI website. English guided tours of the city and cathedral are also available. The city has a hop-on hop-off bus route.

Driving and parking: Aachen is relatively easy to navigate. There are several parking garages just outside the tourist area of the old city.

Distance from Wiesbaden: 2 ½ hours, 235 kilometers

Food: All types of restaurants from traditional German to Asian throughout the town. There are plenty of cafes and bakeries, many of which have outdoor seating in the squares.

Hotels: Most major chains have hotels in Aachen, many within easy walking distance from the old city.
